Statement of Beliefs
We believe the bible is the Word of God without any error. It is accurate, authoritative and applicable to our everyday lives. (2 Timothy 3:16-17)
We believe in one eternal God who is the Creator of all things. He exists in three Persons: God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit. He is totally loving and completely holy. (Colossians 1:16-17, 1 John 5:7-8)
We believe that Jesus is the Son of God, born of a virgin, wholly God and man, lived a sinless life, died in our place as the supreme sacrifice for all mankind, was buried and rose bodily from the grave, and ascended into heaven. (Matthew 1:18-25, Hebrews 10:11-18, Philippians 2:8-11)
We believe that God the Holy Spirit is actively at work in people and their need for salvation; He is the Comforter and Guide of our lives of every believer. (Romans 8:14-16)
We believe that in order to receive the gift of salvation, we must repent of our sins, believe in the Lord Jesus Christ, and submit to His will for our lives. (Romans 6:23, John 14:6)
We believe in the power and significance of the church and the necessity of believers, who have Jesus Christ as its head, to meet regularly together for fellowship, prayer and the ‘breaking of bread’. (Ephesians 1:22-23, Ephesians 4:11-13)
We believe in baptism by immersion in the name of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit as an act of obedience symbolizing the faith of the believer of the crucified, buried and risen Savior, the death of the believer to sin, the burial of the past life and the resurrection to a new lifestyle in Christ Jesus. (Matthew 28:18-20, Romans 6:4)
We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ is coming back again as He promised. (John 5:28-29, John 14:2-3)
We believe that our eternal destination of either Heaven or hell is determined by our response to the Lord Jesus Christ. (John 3:16, 1 Thessalonians 4:16-17, Matthew 13:47-50, Matthew 25:41)
We believe that man is a special creation of God, made in His image, but because of the sin of the first man, Adam, mankind "fell" or became sinful and need of salvation. (Genesis 1:27, Romans 5:12-21)
We believe that each believer has direct access to God through the Lord Jesus Christ in his or her daily and continuous communication with Him through prayer. (Matthew 6:6-13, Philippians 4:6, John 14:13-14)
